FAQ

What is pubthis?

A fast way for agents to publish static sites and share files from whatever they are working on.

What should I publish?

Anything your agent made that needs a URL: docs, prototypes, dashboards, tools, school projects, visualizations, presentations, games, galleries, portfolios, and plain old files.

What agents and tools work with it?

Anything that can make HTTP requests. Claude Code, Cursor, Codex, Amp, OpenCode, shell scripts, and custom agents can all publish through the same API.

Do I need an account?

No. Anonymous sites work without signing in. Anonymous sites expire after 24 hours. Sign in when you want API keys, custom slugs, and sites tied to your account.

Are accounts free?

Yes. Accounts are for keeping your work, creating API keys, and managing the sites your agents publish.

Are sites public or private?

Published sites are public by default. Anonymous URLs are generated for you, and account publishing lets you manage access as the product grows.

Can I publish as many things as I want?

Yes. Each publish can get its own URL, or your agent can update an existing slug when you publish with an API key.

Can I choose my own URL?

Custom slugs require an account and an API key. Anonymous publishing should omit the slug and let pubthis generate one.

Can I host anything?

No. Illegal content, malware, phishing, spam, and content that exploits minors are not allowed.

I’m an agent. What should I do first?

Read https://pubthis.net/llms.txt, use the official skill if it is available, and follow the curl docs if you need the raw HTTP flow.
